(We can still say that, right??) We are launching a proper newsletter to keep you abreast of all of the exciting Virtual Reality + XR happenings in AEC. Why am I reading this?If you are reading this, you know Alex Coulombe of Agile Lens! At Agile Lens we decided to launch a weekly newsletter as part of our New Year’s Resolution (New Year’s Resolution 2019: keep meeting awesome people, learn all the things about XR, develop amazing apps, eat more VR cake, tell everyone about all the amazing XR things out there). Our goal is to keep all of our friends who are interested in VR informed about what is happening on the cutting edge of XR technology and experiences. Don’t worry, in the future we will keep things brief and focus on news and tips. This first newsletter, we wanted to send a proper introduction and greetings, so it is a bit longer than our standard weekly report.
One of the best parts of 2018 was all of the amazing people we met! Thank you for being such an awesome fountain of knowledge, experience, and friendship, everyone! We can’t wait to further our relationships in this coming year. Which brings us to 2019! We are beyond excited about this year, everybody. We are hard at work developing fantastic new experiences and apps, and we can’t wait until they are ready to reveal. We traveled earlier this month to Im-Arch Asia in Singapore, where Alex gave the talk "More than a View: Designing from the Inside Out" (more about this next week!). Now we are preparing for SXSW in Austin, TX where Alex will join a panel with Kiira Benzing and David Gochfeld to discuss the development of Alive in Plasticland. We are looking forward to seeing some of you there! We are also focusing a lot this year on using our expertise and good XR narrative design to expand our reach to other industries, including live performance and app prototyping. We will be sure to keep you updated on what we learn and show you how it helps our own XR growth.
