Overview
A community-driven archival recreation of the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser (Halcyon) hotel — built from open-source scans and photographs after Disney World's closure of the experience, expanded in 2025 to support multiplayer with avatar switching.
About the Project
When Disney closed the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser in 2023, a community of fans and creators mobilized to document and preserve it. Agile Lens joined that effort, contributing to the open-source archival project and then — beginning in 2024 — building a full 3D recreation using the community's scans, reference photography, and ground plans. In 2025, the project was expanded using the Stage Presence platform to support multiplayer: groups of users can now embody Star Wars characters and move through the Halcyon together in a shared VR environment, with avatar switching allowing a single performer to play multiple roles. The project is both a love letter to an extraordinary creative work and a technical demonstration of what shared VR preservation can look like at scale.
